So, let me tell you ALL about how Scootin' Pig came about.
The name Scootin' Pig:
Karsyn's nickname is scootie!
Lemmie's nickname is piglet!
Why Bamboo for us personally?
-Karsyn (my 8-year-old) is my SUPER hot natured child! She feels like a heater especially when sleeping. She constantly says, "I'm hot, but I'm cold at the same time." You can't keep the child covered with a blanket. She is my wild sleeper! So, with bamboo pjs she is completely covered but comfortable at the same time. Plus, they are super soft!!
-Lemmie (my 8-month-old) was born a preemie and stayed in the NICU for a little over a month. She has VERY sensitive skin and a lot of skin issues including eczema. She does have medication for it prescribed by her pediatrician. Lemmie is also terrible for scratching her skin to pieces when she is having her skin flare ups. So, Alton (Dad) & I adventured out into the bamboo world for babies. Since we gave bamboo a shot Lemmie still has flare ups, but nothing like she did when wearing outfits like cotton.
With that being said I have saw so many different people from all around the world from different companies to small business selling bamboo clothing. I have tried many different brands as well. Being a parent of course you want the BEST for your children. I started doing research. Alot of it, I wanted to know exactly what the process of the material is and where it is coming from. I mentioned one night "what if we start our own small business of bamboo children's clothing? I want to offer parents the best without breaking the bank like some of these businesses do."
"Alton looked at me and never said one word. A few weeks go by, and he mentions it to me one night and tells me if that is what I want to do then he says, "GO FOR IT!" I believe he saw how much research and determination and maybe heard a little of complaining about how some of the bamboo clothing I had purchased from other places wasn't completely tested "safe" and didn't have the feet and hand cover options. (HUGE FANS OF THAT OVER HERE!!)
After tons and tons of research and emailing I found the best company.
